Curriculum Development

Development and harmonization of M&E curricula for academic institutions to ensure standardized, quality education in health monitoring and evaluation.

GEMNet-Health plays a central role in the development and harmonization of monitoring and evaluation curricula across academic institutions globally. Recognizing that the quality and consistency of M&E education varies significantly across countries and regions, our network works to establish standardized competency frameworks and learning objectives.

Our curriculum development efforts focus on creating comprehensive, evidence-based educational materials that can be adapted to local contexts while maintaining international standards of quality. This includes the development of core M&E competencies for graduate-level programs, continuing education modules, and specialized training materials for specific health domains.

Working collaboratively with our partner institutions, we conduct regular curriculum reviews, share best practices in M&E pedagogy, and pilot innovative teaching approaches. Our harmonization efforts ensure that M&E graduates from network institutions possess comparable skills and knowledge, facilitating professional mobility and cross-border collaboration in health program evaluation.
